|Recommended: Yes3 months in... — I moved to Kansas for work, I have been living at Hunters' Ridge for three months now, and I genuinely like the apartment and the community. I don't have many complaints, but I have broken my review into four general areas the apartment inside, the apartment grounds, the community, and the complex staff. In terms of the inside of my apartment, I toured the 2b 2bath that is in building A before signing my lease. I remember thinking that the price of the apartment seemed to match the value of the space - it's a little higher than many other places you can find in Lawrence, but the quality is pretty good and was below the price range in which I was looking. Although I was looking for a 2b 2bath when I signed the lease, I moved into a 2b 1 bath - because that is all that was available - and it's great I live alone and my spouse occasionally visits from out of state, and it is the perfect size. We also have a chihuahua living here and it is the perfect size for him, too. He has lots of space, and loves to lay in natural light that these units offer. My only complaint about the inside of the apartment is that the walls are very... fragile I have not had any issues in my own unit, but the feel of these walls is like dry wall that seems like it might dent scratch scrape easily. I don't have children and my pup isn't a scratcher so this is not a major concern for me, but it could be for others. The apartment grounds are really nice, with fantastic amenities like the pool, grill, gym, and business center. There is even a tennis court and a little dog park, the latter of which our dog loves. My only complaint about the grounds is that sometimes the trash area gets a little out of hand - but that's probably more likely connected to tenants not being willing to turn the compactor switch if you are reading this, fellow tenants, do us all a favor and turn that little knob . This is also more likely to happen on the weekends after the staff have left. It is never left like that for more than a day and I only see it looking messy one or two days per month. But since the trash compactor is a short walk from my building, I never notice it unless I am getting the mail or taking out trash. The other complaint that I would offer is that, although people are friendly, some tenants have been lax about wearing a mask in the gym which does not seem to be very responsible. I would never tell on them,' but I do wish folks were more thoughtful about this. I also noted that the amenities have weird restrictions on non-tenant guest access e.g. non-tenants can't use the pool at this time . I hope that these restrictions are laxed once we are on the other side of the pandemic, because without the explanatory power of COVID-19, these restrictions seem arbitrary. In terms of the community, it is usually VERY quiet. My neighbors are kind and courteous people, and I have shared my phone number with a few folks to introduce myself, but also to let them know I am here if they need anything. Two different apartments have taken me up on that and we have even taken care of each other's package deliveries when we have been out of town. I never hear any disturbances. The walls are not paper thin' but you can still hear your neighbors if they are having a gathering. It has never been so loud that it has been a problem. One neighbor has even gone as far as letting me know that he and his partner were having family over for a celebration and asked me to let him know if they were being too loud, and I never had to ask them to be quiet. To that end, I have great neighbors and would even invite them over for dinner or drinks if not for COVID-19. Finally, the complex staff... I think that the people who work here are very easy to work with. I worked with Nikki to get my paperwork processed, as well as to get our pup logged into the system and she is a true delight. I will add that I was a little concerned about how the management would be here given some of the reviews I had read elsewhere, but those negative experiences have not mirrored mine - it's been great I want to also give a shout out to the maintenance staff here. During week one, I submitted a silly maintenance request oven lightbulb and - this is not an exaggeration - they showed up in 15 minutes, swapped it out, said hello, and were just really friendly folks. All in all, I can't say enough how happy I am here. If you were to ask me what is my favorite thing about this place to far... I would have to say that the built in desks have been ESSENTIAL for all of us who are working from home. Thanks Hunters' Ridge

|Recommended: YesLoving it so far — I am really loving my apartment so far I don’t hear much noise at all besides normal walking and so on from upstairs unit. I have submitted a couple tickets to have stuff fixed and everything has been completed in a timely manner and very professional. My only constructive criticism I have is parking is a little tight. Also, I noticed that our room was pretty humid for the first month or so not sure why and carpet took a bit to dry after it was washed. Lastly this is just something I wished we had and thought I would add haha but it would be soo awesome if there was a squat wrack at the gym. 🤗

|Recommended: YesAbsolutely Wonderful — This is the most wonderful complex I could not say enough nice things about Hunter's Ridge. The office staff are so kind and helpful, and the maintenance crew is extremely helpful. The complex is very well maintained with beautiful green areas for my dog. The apartment design is elegant and high quality. The kitchen is to die for Our experience living here has been great. The only possible complaint I could mention is that the noise from the neighbors above I am on 1st floor can be pretty bad lots of loud thumping , but that happens with every complex when you are on the first floor, and the benefit of living on the first floor outweighs the noise. I can't hear anyone on the sides. Overall this is a fantastic complex and I would absolutely recommend living here
|Recommended: YesExcellent location ROI — Perfect location, grounds are nicely manicured, units have a wonderful floorplan and the balconies offer great views if you are on the top floor . Staff are courteous, professional, and pay attention to work orders. Pool and gym are well maintained.
